In 1999 the classic horror character the mummy was rebooted in spectacular, big budget, popcorn selling fashion. Not only did it spawn several sequels and now it's own reboot, but it's first sequel spun off a series of films based on the supernatural baddie, The Scorpion King.
This is just an enjoyable series from start to finish. Admittedly, the straight to video entries lack polish, solid acting, and the level of special effects that built the universe, but all in all it's a fun series.
After a few viewings, we feel that the new Tom Cruise reboot feels very much like an in universe sequel and has been added to the list. Pop some corn and have at it.
